No don't put stripes on the S2000. Leave the stripes to the domestics. What do you have planned next? blacked out headlight covers and mudgrips?

domestic mods on import car = RICE

The stripes would've been cool on S2K, if there weren't so many shitboxes out there that already have them. imo

If it were going to be a track only car then sure....looks cool. That is where those stripes belong. Not on the streets.(RICE!)

How are racing stripes RICE? They add about 15-20HP!!!

p.s. Truthfully, an s2000 would look horrible with racing stripes.

I think they kinda look cool. However, definately stick to white or a light silver(maybe), definately go a little wider and closer to one another, and add a new twist. Try doing a mock-up with all of this, but with the stripes slightly off-set to one side. Post the pics and see how they look in pictures side by side.

"Racing" stripes have a long heritage on roadsters, as well as other 2-seater sports cars and sports sedans. They were around a long time before the term (and possibly ethnic slur) "rice" was invented.

I'm now of the belief that "rice" is a term that someone uses just because he doesn't like what you've done to your car.

Bottom line, if you like it, do it. It's you car and the hell with what anyone else thinks. Remember, this is the land of the free and where the pursuit of happiness is guaranteed.

I personally would never put stripes on my car, but it can't be any worse than the S2K I saw with a huge aluminum wing on it (GT2) style. Brian

The silver makes the car look like it's been wrapped in ribbon. White will be good though. Try it with the stripes finishing at the end of the hood. I agree with the others - make them wider and closer together.
