It was the AEM V1 that sucked up water, not the V2. The V2 has a step in tube sizing that should prevent hydrolock. There are also bypass valves avaialble to prevent hydrolock with the V1. If you get a bypass valve get an AEM. The cheaper immitations don't work the same way and may put your engine at risk. You may also want to put a rain shield on either of the AEM intakes, just to keep the filter dry.

HKS sounds the same, just alot louder with a testpipe.

Comptech intake + HKS exhaust + testpipe = A great sounding S2K

what is it about test pipes that supposedly keep the gas mileage from going down and keeps the check engine light from coming on? i always thought that removing the converter was a bad idea...?

Removing the cat is against the law in most states, but people do it all the time. You will probably see more hp gain from removing the cat and putting in a test pipe than most of the other mods out there.

Running a test pipe is not going to hurt the engine in anyway. A lot of the test pipes will throw a CEL, but most of the pipes come with a fix for this or you can make one yourself very easily.
