You're just begging to get your car vandalized. Parking far away usually solves the problem.
Unless I had something like a Ferrari or a Lambo, cars that barely fit in regular spots anyway, I wouldn't consider it.

I always park as far out as neccesary, try to find an end spot and pull as close to the curb on my side as possible.

whenever you take 2 spots your just asking for someone to wedge between you and the next car, which is even worse than just taking one and having them park normally..

The only car I saw that was justified in two lanes was a Veryon. Other than that, park far away in the designated "baller" lot.

I find a spot where only one car can park next to me, like the other side would be a curb/gate/etc....and then I hug that side.

So if someone parks next to me on the only side they are able to, there is almost no way they could accidently ding me even if they park on the line.

I didn't read through the entire post but my insight is I park away from the crowd usually. Just remember as much as I love my car and you love yours, its not an exotic.

If I am going to a place that I know I have to park, I take my Accord.

When I had my srt4 I thought it would be a good idea to take up two spots at the movie theater. It was fairly empty when I arrived so I found a nice curb spot pulled in and literally parked over the divider line between the two spaces. Needless to say, when I walked out of the movie theater, there was a ford explorer parked literally 2 inches from my passenger side of my car. He had to have exited his vehicle from the passenger side. I had to back my car out just so my gf could get in the car. He was making a point and it hit home for me. That was the last time I did that. Now I just find a nice empty spot in the back of the lot by a curb if possible and hope for the best. Cliff note, dont be an ass cause your asking for it. I learned my lesson. O and I did the handicap thing a couple weeks ago with the s. Found an empty spot at the front of the lot, right beside a handicap spot. Came out to find a nice lil ding on my passenger door that was absolutely not there when I arrived. So your really not safe anywhere you park

I park right up in front where I can always keep an eye on the car. If those spots are taken it's the very back for me.

I would never take two spots. Thats just asking for someone to key my car or something.

...well that's my opinion
