Default Tein S-tech spring rate

Ok can be a stupid question but i dont got alot of knowledge on this topic. Ok I got a set of Tein S-tech springs from a 2000 prelude. They will fit the s2000 but the difference between prelude and s2000 springs are the spring rates. here are the spring rates:

s2000:
FRONT:
kgf/mm lbs/in Drop
5.3 300 -1.02

REAR:
kgf/mm lbs/in Drop
6.5 360 -0.98

Prelude
FRONT:
kgf/mm lbs/in Drop
4.3 240 -1.46
REAR:
kgf/mm lbs/in Drop
3.7 210 -1.34

Someone if you can please give me a some info on spring rates and tell me something about these numbers... Any feedback is greatly appreciated

Stock 2004 Spring rates:
Fr: 233(4.16) - Rr: 262(4.68)

Essentially, if you install those, your ride will be softer than stock in the rear, inducing more understeer.

granted the prelude springs may fit the strut body on the s2000...why put them on? is the $50 your saving by putting on used springs designed for a completely different platform really worth risking on a 30k+dollar car?

if your going with springs you might as well buy a set of springs for the right car

Those Prelude spring rates are way too low. Pass on it.
A new set of S.Tech's is under $200.
