Is there anything wrong with the choice of red?

I like the S2000 in red but every red car I've owned had trouble with fade and chalking over time. It seems to be the worst pigment when it comes to UV resistance.

And silver is a close second for losing its lustre over the years.

But then black shows every stone chip and swirl mark.

White gets discolored and ends up off-white.

Awww I give up!

Red's been my favorite color... so yea. Another thing is that NFR goes beautifully with a lot of wheel colors like white, black, bronze, gold, so yea...

Look looks okay on the S2000 I would say.

I personally am not a big fan of red cars though, just a personal thing. I like the Rio and GPW more on the S2000

The yellow is actually a pearl paint. I'm not sure if you're able to tell that or not, but next time you see one and you're with your wife have her take a closer look at it. It definitely DOES look solid from a certain distance, but up close it looks completely different.
Yes. Laguna blue is also the same. Still, the color dominates the character lines.

I am debating on whether to get a red s2k

I am looking to buy a new 07 or slightly used 06 or 07. I have noticed that there are more red s2ks out there, within my search criteria, then anything and dealers are begging for them to be taken away.

Laguna blue and gray are my two favorite colors. I do like red and it seems to be growing on me but I am not sure if the color is growing on me or if it is the deals. I am an accountant so I can't help but to pinch a few pennies here and there if I can.

My concerns with red: flashy colors attract cops, people thinking it looks girly (not me personally, but I feel people might look at a red convertible as being girly), and lastly if they are not selling now will that hurt my resale value since that color does not seem to be in too high of demand? It seems like anyone is willing to buy a gray or silver s2k but when you go with such a vibrant color like red, it only appeals to certain people.

I do not really care with other people think of my car. My concern there is what my friends will say if anything. I have the type of relationship with my friends that we will make fun of each other for anything and everything we can think of and beat it straight into the ground. If they decide it is a girly color, I can see this being something that they would talk crap about to me for years so I am preparing myself. At the same time I will have the best car in the group...

You bought a used S2000. Color should have been WAY down the list of things you were looking for. New car buyers can have the dealer get them a new car, essentially equal to all the others, in any color they want. However, when you buy used, cars are never essentially equal to all the others, so putting color high on the list is, IMHO, foolish.
I agree in theory, but in reality, I want to enjoy looking at my car.

When I was searching for a used s2k, it seemed like the best deals were on yellow ones. I just wasn't into it though.

At first I only wanted black, and was in no hurry to buy, but after I looked for awhile, I started to really like silverstone and that's what I ended up with.
