"Things my dealership told me"
Car salesman are like migrant farm workers. They go from dealership to dealership selling whatever crap there is on the lot. They don't care about cars and often know less about them than the people who come in to kick the tires. It amuses me to go in and ask them some arcane question I already know the answer to and see what they come up with.
Next time you talk to a salesman, ask them what kind of limited slip the car has. You'll hear some shit. You'd think they'd spend at least 15 minutes reading their own brochures. Every now and then I find a younger, less battle scared salesman who knows his shit. They're a pleasure to work with.
Lexus called me yesterday, Sales Woman (hot asian chick) asks me if I know where the wheel lock key is for the MDX I traded in 2 months ago. I looked over at the junk shelf and saw the whole Acura wheel lock kit sitting there. I told her I had it. Dealership's 45 minutes away. She says, "I'll just tell them we can't find it. Car's in Canada so, it doesn't really matter".

I went to test drive a Murano with my friend and started talking to the saleman about the Z. He seemed pretty down and genuinely lively. We started getting into details and he told me has a 300Z. I tell him it's ZX. He tells me I'm wrong, since he has one. I tell him I'll bet him the down payment on the Murano. We shook on it, went back to the dealer to check the History of the Z book. Sure enough, he was wrong. He said come back tomorrow and we'll work something out. Yeah right.
