thinking about getting rid of the s2000 for type-r
I had a 2000 ITR and traded it in for my 2004 S2k. Two things to consider:
The S2k outperforms the ITR in EVERY performance category. Period. I auto-x both and there is no comparison (stock to stock).
Secondly, theft is rampant. I had my car broken into twice with varying degrees of damage.
They are nice cars, but not worth the trouble, IMO.

I drove a friend's Type R a couple years back when I still had a fully bolted/KPro'd RSX and I my RSX would outperform the Type R. What are your goals for the S or the Type R since it's pretty much going to be your toy?
the car would be a weekend car for me. mostly street driving prolly close to no track time. the thing is my s2000 has a few b/s problems that the dealer says is normal that they cant do anything about like a/c that goes hot and cold for no reason, buzz from the clutch which i know what it is, coming off revs it the motor shakes when it hits idle and feels like it gonna stall, seats wore out, and the rears break. my car only has 65k on it and ive owned it for 3 years. idk if i want to deal with this crap all the time for car that only moves on weekends and thats if im not working. i had a gsr that i used to abuse and never had problems with it at all. what also bothers me is the value of the s2000 seems to be dropping quick then i can keep track of where the type-r almost seem like a good investment. i know i enjoy driving both but just dont know whick one i really want sitting in the garage. it also seems like parts are a bit cheaper for the type-r as well. hmmmm lots to think about here i guess
It sounds like you're just sick of the problems you've been having with the s2000. If that's the case then fix it!
But the most important question you have to ask yourself is which one you want to drive more.
