and there are some people such as myself where it is not a phase and it is a lifelong pursuit to enjoy driving two seater sports cars and "sacrificing" a bit with practicality.
I told my girlfriend of over 4 years this recently - that if she plans on staying with me long term that she's going to have to accept my crazy car habits - it comes with the package

My daily driver is a motorcycle. Based on that, the S2000 is more than practical.
Same here.

I also really disslike the stereo in the S2K. The EVO has a really good sound system from the factory. I've had it up pretty loud and it doesn't distort, just clean sound.

...though women have been checking me out like crazy in the S2K. They just look at me like I'm a loser wannabe street racer in my EVO.

i used to own an evo, and it was a fun car, i sold it to buy an m3, and now i'm looking into buying an s

the evo was fast, rough, cheap interior, all the usual stuff, it was a huge cop magnet, and went through expensive parts like crazy

the sti is a little more well built but doesnt take mods as well, sure they can both be made fast, but evo even more so with bolt ons

if i do get an s2000, im actually looking forward to being like... sorry no room, i only have 2 seats

people can either take their own car, or ill take one and we'll meet there

Additionally, I see that you're a student at GT. I haven't spent much time in that area, but I imagine considering it's location there are plenty other forms of transportation for college students, including buses and cabs. I know I certainly utilized the public transportation surrounding VT just so I didn't have to trouble myself with a car and parking and toting friends around.
Atlanta is a suburban car town. Unlike most real cities, the public transportation ranges from non-existant to abysmal. Unless you live/work on one of the two Marta rail lines you will have a two hour commute that would have only taken 20-30 minutes driving (and no, GT is off the line, so it's an extra bus trip or a 20 min walk). Anyone making even minimum wage can cost justify a car based on their wasted time.

As much as I'd like to see fewer people on the road, it just isn't feasible for most of Atlanta until the the density goes up.
