According to this link it may not only be the oil you need to worry about when deciding on oil change frequency. You also need to take a look at the filter you are using. I use Mobil 1 syn. but haven't been able to find any place convenient to buy filters other then Fram X2 filters so I change mine as close to 3,500 miles as I can.
