Tire Noise?
Hi everyone!
We have 9,400 miles on the white 01 S2K. Since it is back on the road now after winter I've noticed more noise from the rear tires
After searching the forum(s) I see that the rears last only about 12k miles on average. Is this tire noise something others have experienced as the rears began to get worn??? There is no clicking or rubbing or high pitched sounds involved with this noise.
Your comments appreciated!
Barry

I haven't had my S long enough to know but I can tell you that different tires have different decible levels. It is possible that if your tread has worn significantly that the tires would be louder
I noticed a little more noise from the rears as they were wearing down past the wear bars, but it was relatively quiet up till then. My s-03's seem to be as quiet as the S-02's were but squeal when at the limit.
Thanks Guys! This kind of noise happens on my other cars when the tires become worn. I guess I'll just have to get used to this since our tires don't last so long! At 9400 miles it sounds like I've gone 30000.
Thanks,
Barry
