Too Many S2000s!
Have not seen many around here (in the Burbs). However, I work in downtown Boston and when I do spot one, it is always painted yellow. My conclusion is that if you are driving any other color, you are still exclusive.
BTW, there are lots of Jaguar-Fords on the road in the Boston area so stay away if that is your "upgrade" plan... but Lotus' are still rare.

Thank you very much, nvrquit. I appreciate the support!!
And I agree. Where else can you drive with the top down in the winter? And if its cold, turn on the heater. I was gonna post in the thread about driving with the windows up and the top down, but I decided it was a waste of time.
Top down, windows down, and hair flying.......racing the sunset. thats my idea of freedom.

I agree completely BrownEydTrouble. Even in South Florida, a S2000 sighting is rare. And of course, as common sense would suggest, as model years go by, you would see an increase in S2000's on the road. But saying that the bloom is off the rose is absurd. Enjoy your S, it's a outstanding machine. Far better than the Elise IMO.
2008 is the earliest that the F type will be available, if at all. That would be a long wait. I remember reading someplace that it was designed to be a Boxster competitor. I also remember reading about the shoddy build quality of the Elise, never mind the reliability. Leaky roof, uneven gaps, etc. The Elise sounds like a car for the real enthusiasts to take to the track on weekends. And with the targeted weight for the US bound Elise at under 2000 lbs(?), I'm not sure how safe it would be over here.
If you want to see a lot of S2Ks just drive around the Washington DC metropolitan area. Beginning about a year and a half ago, there's been an exponential increase in the number of sightings.
