I never had anyone insult me for driving with the top down, even at cold weather (50 degrees and up). That's because everytime i have the top down all they see is my stethoscope hanging on my rear view mirror. It shows how education and hard work can get you great things. Mind you i'm only 28yrs old and the questions i get are "What kind of a doctor are you" or "arent ya little young to be a doctor?"....Oh by the way, the best response for an insult is always a "smile"...nothing pisses off an ignorant person more than that.
WOW.

I'm not black, no.

I didn't take it as a racist remark either. The dude just drove by with a "hey I'm the stuff" type of attitude and tone. I just don't like when people try to belittle me in public to try and look better, much less when I'm just driving around in a calm manner.

Same as when I work on my car in the parking lot on base. A lot of guys look at me and make comments, try and look at what the motor looks like, talk smack about how their -insert car- could smoke me, etc. I think it's mainly because they know I don't street race that they do this though.

Maybe this area just has a higher concentration of dumb-dumbs.
you're a douche

I think everyone slinging around the "You're the douchebag" might need to re-evaluate the way you come to your judgements. I propose the question when evaluating a situation (especially a non-violent one): What's the more important consideration; the reaction to a situation or the reason behind it? Note; the OP has even admitted that the navy has changed his personality and the way he reacts to situations.

I am 23 and this summer I landed myself in the behavioral center at our hospital under a 72hr court order as a bipolar and 5150. After words I was put into the partial hospitilization for 160hrs of therapy over the course of a month and a half. If there's one lesson I learned while doing a complete re-constructing of my thought process it's this: That when evaluating a situation and comming to a judgement YOU'RE the one making the assumptions of the variables to the equation.

Also consider this; I wear what even I consider to be douche-baggery priced denim. However I don't wear them to be cool, to be flashy, peacock for women or any douche-bag like reasons. I wear them because I appreciate their finer details; and the way they feel on my legs.

But hey, I must be an emo nut-job douche lunatic right?

Oh and I forgot, every action you've taken in your life has been followed by childrens laughter, rainbows and angels trumpets right? Or you're a hypocrit.

People like the VR6 guy do it out of insecurity. Unfortunately it roped you in and exposed your insecurity, too.

C'mon. You're better than that. Next time, smile and wave. And pity the poor loser, don't join him.

Douchebags aside, any white person sporting clothes typically seen on darker skinned folk are the real losers. In my neck of the woods we call them white trash. I'd have a hard time containing myself if I encoutered a similar situation. Call me whatever you want as I freely admit to suffering from a mild case of road rage and my ex wife calls me a douche all the time.

If you had a Bugatti Veyron at home and a condo full of supermodels waiting for you, would you care what the VR6 guy said? Nope.

its always good to vent once in a while and let loose as long as it doesn't put you in hot water.
