Physical laws of nature would indicate that the heavier the object, the better it goes downhill. Having "crap" in your trunk would not be considered a disadvantage in your scenario.
Remember my other statement? ....................................
Yes the Extra Weight in the trunk helped My S in more ways than just Speed.

Please note that the S starts to become very Scary after 135 and if you have to make a lane change quickly above 135 you may be in for some Big Trouble.

The AP2 Gearing is Matched perfectly for the S2000's limitations, but I still MY02

Yeah, my '05 sucks too. You should trade your '06 in for an '03, so you can have more fun with the longer gearing and more rpm in VTEC.

Of course, your comment that the celica GTS, ITR, RSX, and S2k being sprinters removes all doubt about your intelligence or lack thereof.
how so? are they not sprinters. are they not good for quick burst of acceleration because of their short gearing. i've ran celica gts, rsx-s and after 4th gear they have nothing left. they're good from 2nd to 4th and that's it. i certainly wouldn't call them tourers.

i finally took the car past 6k and i'm a little very very tiny dissappointed by the lower mph in each gear. i underestand why they did it, but it does take away from the fun. i met my friend last night who has an 02 and there is a difference below 6k between the AP2 but there's also huge difference above 6k. its a catch 22 because when i'm driving around town it's great to have the shorter gears but when i let it rip for 10 minutes straight from 60-125mph the fun factor was very quick. i think the shorter gears will benefit when i take it to palomar mountain next weekend for some mountain attacks where i'm only using 2nd to 4th gear.
