thanks for all the responses guys..
ToEnvy - thanks for the back up
like i said, it was a tuff decision but i could have gone for the turbo.. i am maybe exaggerating a bit about the wife giving me crap, but there definitely would be a jab here and there for getting it. the other thing, my S is stock and i don't race it or push it to it's limits now, so i figured i would use my watch more often than i use FI.

for those that think i am trying to show off - i didn't buy the watch to show off to everyone.. i inherited a nice watch some time ago and at that point, decided that I wanted another - i guess it's more of a collectors thing for me. And I wanted a cartier before I bought my S 2 years ago, which wifey disagreed on as well, but i dropped 20k on it and bought it.
people aren't staring at my wrist, and I'm not raising it to show them the time when they ask.. like one other said, i will be wearing it, but i do have other watches that i wear on certain occasions and style of dress.

I bought a Cartier Roadster - so i stayed in line with what the S is.. so now i have two Roadsters to sport around.

I knew I would get burned by most (just based on where I'm posting and how many of you mod your cars) and I figured I might get a couple backers.. to all I appreciate your input.. it gives me something to read, laugh and think about.
thanks
Jay
I will try to get pics up soon

Anyone that knows about these watches knows how expensive they can be.
This comment right here shows that you really are trying to show how much "taste" and expendable income you have...aka "showing off".

No one that matters would care about the clock on someone's wrist.
