TSB Performed After Warrnaty Expired?
Hi guys,
This is my first post and Im the proud new owner of a 2001 Spa Yellow roadster. I got it with just 40k miles on it and It's been sitting in a garage for a long time. I don't think any TSB's were performed on it, as it has the "buzzing" from the clutch disc during decel, the top latch is noisy over bumps, etc etc.
Do you think i will have luck with local honda dealers in getting my car serviced for FREE? I read every single TSB here under the library and Im positive I can perform 90% of them myself, except the cluthc disc.
THe TSB must be performed by the dealership under "goodwill" since it is out of warranty and I DID NOT purchase the car from them. What are my chances?

From what I've observed on this site, they might offer to pay parts if you pay labor. It is, after all, a 7-year old car that had a 3-year warranty. But you've certainly got nothing to lose by trying. You'd have a better chance if the dealership thought of you as a "cash cow" who had provided them big profits before.
TSB's aren't automatically performed; they alert the dealers how to fix certain problems if the car has the problem.

I had this same exact question and asked my honda dealership and they said no. I also have the clutch buzz. But like redy2ks2k said theyre just to let the dealers know what the problem is. TSB's arent like recalls. They said anything else they wouldve done but a huge job like a new clutch is just something they wont do for free unfortunately
