Default turbo

Is anyone ever going to come out with a turbo for the s2k? I Think I would rather have a turbo than an sc on the s2000. Thanks

Ben from Bulletproof is still working on it, and I think he's hoping it'll be ready in a month or two.

With an 11:1 compression ratio you can't run much boost, a good turbo setup would require pistons to lower the CR, an intercooler and about 17 psi, then this engine will truly rock!

I agree, always inquire about the compression ratio before buying a new car, that is, if you want to go turbo without tearing the stock motor apart.

..........
15 psi Miata

My turbo will be done and dynoed next month and will appear in at least a couple of magzines. If the interest is there my mechanic has agreed to produce 'bolt-on' kits including the manifold. No changes are necessary to lower compression as boost will be targeted at about 6 psi. Should dyno in the 320 RWHP range and cost should not be alot higher than the Comptech SC.

I'm hoping that it will do that to the C5's not just the LS1's. My car has consistently run in the 13.6-13.8 range at Gainesville Raceway. I'm hoping that full boost will be achieved in the 3500-4000 RPM range and I won't have to thrash the drivetrain so bad to get out of the hole. I'm hoping for 'leisurely' low 13's on street tires with off idle launches.

Hey derryck, give me an e-mail when you get the car "set-up". I'm also in Gainesville, and would love to see what you're doing!
