Turn VSA Off In The Snow?

Sorry, but I'm going to have to agree with everything that nzouk77 said. If this is the message that you are trying to get across your subject and first post definitely doesn't indicate it, you just seemed suprise that the VSA didn't help. There are tons of posts on S2ki telling people not to drive the S in freezing temps, let along a "dusting" of snow. It doesn't matter that your tires have a lot of tread, the soft compounds harden when it gets cold. By driving the car out in the snow you are putting not only yourself but, more importantly, OTHERS at risk. We got our first major snowfall of the season yesterday and I saw a G35 Coupe spinning it's tires for what seemed like an eternity before he could get moving, same with a BMW 335 and a BMW M5 that was stuck on a major roadway that had been salted.
Maybe you shouldn't get so defensive and just be thanful that no one got hurt.

I was stuck because of the snow, not because it was was 32 degrees out.
If you think my point of "VSA doesn't help in the snow" isn't exemplified by the title of this thread "Turn VSA off in the snow?" I really don't know how else to explain it.
