thanks a lot - will do.

@slow206: i am not after a soft car. it was just am observation that i made. i would like it to handle at its best.
but honestly. the previous owner used to make everyone at his driving skills. i heard this story (first hand) from a ferrari owner who was driving behind (now my) s2000. he just could not keep up with him, this at really high speeds and bendy roads. i'm talking 240 km/hr +.
i really could not believe it, but there is no reason not to, no-one likes to admit defeat, if you know what i mean.
From numerous people I have heard that on the street, no-one used to keep up with this guy, it's incredible.
And when i speak to him, he is really modest about it. he just says that he experimented a lot with the car and is convinced that it was at its best setup.

but i will do as you guys suggest and see how it goes. i also believe that 15 PSI is totally unacceptable.

Thanks again for the help!!

The guy is probably full of sh#t. No one in their right mind that has any knowledge of cars would think 15 psi was the best for handling lol. Car feels absolutely horrible with that low tire pressure.

i'm guessing that if the OP is in Malta, they might use some different type of measurement than PSI.

Well if he's saying PSI, then he means PSI.

Inches aren't different in china, neither is PSI

Malta uses the metric system so maybe they use KPa instead of psi. But 15 KPa is equal to a little over 2 psi.

lol. no its PSI all right. believe me i couldnt believe it either.

just for the info: i had put it to 24 and have been driving it for about a week now, and was starting to get used to the car.

now i just put them up to 34F and 32R. took it for a quick drive..
1st impression.. the car is HARD, jittery, and full of rattles. everything seems to rattle and make noises

Re the handling, i didnt really have the time (or the energy - its 11 PM here and i was tired) to test it out well, but from first impressions, the car is wayy more oversteery than ever before. it did not understeer yet, but as i said i did not test it well so cannot comment re understeer.
but even in a straight line when i gave it some welly, the rear wanted to overtake the front... this used to happen before also, but to a lesser extent.
i dont know.... i'm ...i will give it a couple more days to test it out well, maybe get used to it ...
but i have a feeling that the crap tarmac we call roads are not very friendly with these cars with "normal" tire pressures...

PS still need to check the rear anti roll bar. didnt have time. was too busy replacing the horn - damn that thing sounded ugly !!

wasn't trying to had to the confusion, it's just really unusual to hear someone driving around with 15PSI in a sports car.

maybe the previous owner was trying to hide the rattles with low tire pressure...lol.

When I ran the exact same set up on MY00 I inflated the tyres to 35 PSI front and back. T1-R's have soft side walls hence the 3 psi bump over stock.

Check the alignment numbers as these cars tend to oversteer rather than understeer
