Understeer!
You shouldn't even consider dropping the psi down that low again. If the rattles and stiff ride is too much then maybe this isn't the car for you.
If you are over steering so much and going sideways, you should really check your tires. Maybe riding with such low pressure has caused uneven wear or damaged that they are not performing the way they should be. Or even yet are you tires bald? is there still a good amount of tread left in them. These might be some of the problems over looked that as caused the abnormal behavior.

yes the tires look fine. i will try to get a picture of them today.
and this is the car for me. i love it
i dont mind rattles and a hard ride so much, its the "dangerous" handling that will bother me.
i mean lets face it. the previous owner drove it for years with 15 psi. and he drove it very, very hard. even tracked it once for sure (in italy).
nothing ever happened, he never lost control - no tire ever popped off the rim.
now, in my case, i do not find 15 psi acceptable.. but i might consider putting them to 28 psi. as i said before, when i made them 24, it felt good in the corners.
my original problem with low tire pressure was damage to the rims... but u know what... if i find out that its going to remain "dangerous" with 34 PSI, then i prefer to damage a rim than to damage the whole car.
i spoke to another s2k owner (local) and he says he keeps the pressures at 26 PSI.
everyone here is telling me (and they do have a point) that you cannot compare malta to the US. Here, the speeds are lower and the roads are much much less grippier.
re the alignment, i will post a pic of the results sheet some time today .. have to get to work now

It shouldn't feel any more dangerous or anything unless you are getting on the throttle to hard and causing it to get tail happy. At 24 i would imagine looking extremely flat. I run 32/34 and haven't felt the tail pull out but i get on the throttle lightly and watch my speed and steering inputs when its wet.
Definitely check your suspension components for any abnormal things.

24 psi the tire looks normal if it has a stiff sidewall, I found a tire that low once.
if the roads are a lot less grippy then it is possible that a lower pressure may be better, I know when I autox (lower speeds) on really dusty or winter salt covered lots (less grippy) i run much less pressure (like 27-28 rear and 29-30 front) to make up the grip.
my advice would first be to check your owners manual or the sticker in the door jamb to see what honda says (it may not be the same on s2k's in other countries) Also try multiple pressure gauges. It is possible that your gauge is off which may mean that at 24-26 you are really at 32-34 or something like that

Another thing you might be forgetting is the excellent Maltese weather. I've seen 105F+ on several occasions over there. If you're filling your tires in a shaded garage to 32/34psi then they're probably approaching 36/38 when you're driving and in the sun.
Maybe you could drop to 30 or so without any adverse effects, this will leave the tires closer to the sweet spot when you're driving. I know what you mean about the roads over there, all you hear when you go out on the street during the day are tires screeching. Sounds like people are racing around all the time, then you realise it's just a combination of the roads and the heat.

My friend drove a couple hours or so out to buy some rpf wheels. They mounted the wheels with tires on the cars for the ride home. The local gas station's air pressure gauge wasn't working, (not that I trust those anyways...) and filled it til they thought it was enough. When they got home, we measured the tire pressure and it was at 65 - 80 all around... I'm surprised that they didn't blow up on the interstate drive home..
yup they look fine at 24 psi.
i cant check the door jamb sticker because my car is a JDM vehicle, it was imported to malta when it was 4 years old.
and yes, the weather here is always warm, in summer it will be extremely hot.
today i drove it again, havent felt any understeer yet. i may get used to it... but i may put them down a little bit.

what kind of tires are on the car? you should not have oversteer going in a straight line with stock power.
my guess is that the roads where you live are either really crappy, or you need better tires. this is not a car that you want to put cheap tires on. put on the best tires for your local conditions that you can afford.

the tires are toyo proxes t1-r.
my impression is that they are very good tires. opinions?
i removed all four wheels yesterday to look at the springs etc.
there are no spring spacers. antiroll bars look ok. no visible damage to anything.
gave the alloys a good cleanup too. and the tires look ok as well .. as you can see here :
