A lot of people here are so quick to trash intake and exhaust as useless mods. I'll agree theres really no useful hp there but the weight alone could be a difference around 50 lbs, thats like not letting a 5 year old kid ride with you.

Not exactly useless

speaking of, was out in the S today and a dalorion sp? pulls up next to me up on campus

As for the intake remarks, and im definatly not a professional but I drove my car for a week stock, and ordered a K&N fipk and have been driving that around for a week now, it seems like there were some gains, nothing impressive, but more then anything the car just got louder

doesnt noise always = POWER!!!
I think we'll all agree tht Honda has given us one hell of a production engine nearly maxed out to be happy with... to each their own... one man's worthless may be another's valuable... all about customizing IMO... all ths shazz is xxxpen$$$ive to me... I thnk I/H/E makes a decent combo 4 the car if nothing else to bring out the F-1 harmonics under the hood... u cant take the $$$ with ya...

I think a lot of these 'useless' mods are not useless if the person that buys them get some sort of satisfaction out of them. When I had a CAI, I really liked the sound it helped to create. Did I get any extra power from it? Who knows, but I still enjoyed it.

No mod is useless if it changes the car to reflect your individualism. Could you imagine how exciting it would be to show up at one of the events and see 50 S's that all looked alike, no vents, no wings, no strakes, no wheels, all stock, all sounding the same, only the few different colors to separate them!

useless, they are designed to flex a little.

if you buy the bling bling strut might as well do a "window weld" job to your motor mount.

people experience more rattle and vibration after the mod

All the owners that run around with big brake kits because they actually think the car will stop faster. That's false. In fact, most big brake kits will make the car stop slower since the front/back ratio gets unbalanced.

Only 5% of the people that buy BBK's actually use them for what they are intended for.
