very cool Brandon. I think I'm the only one who can see these graphs at 16x12 on a 21" monitor. =)

The graphs are right, you must be reading them wrong. Nice gains BTW!

How much of these tuning parameters are weather sensitive? If you were to do a dyno run say in the summer would the gains be the same of would they change? Winter tends to offer lower humidy and denser air volume. Would you need to have various sets of parameters for the different times of year?

Very good question...I have ofter wondered this. I believe the answer is yes to "optimally" use the VAFC you would tune it in the winter and summer or whenever the air volume changes but I don't think that the change in weather would bring you back to your stock hp though. It would just make a hp or a little more less when it's different. Which is why it would prolly be best to tune it during the most "common" tempatures for year round that way it's running optimally for a good portion of the year and fairly well for the rest. This may be easier for me than it is other with me living in Phoenix...

This is just my guess with my current understanding of the VAFC and it's uses...I don't know this for a fact!

Ok, I fixed them, but left links to the big pictures for all you hi-res people out there.

The temperature today was around 50'F outside and inside the shop it was 60'F. So that is about average weather. Of course, our weather gets much colder and much hotter, but that is right about in the middle.

Hey Cyber Logic,

Do you have one of these installed? Right now we are moderate, but in the summer with our 110 degree outside and a few more degrees under the hood would this make a greater difference in performance?

Also, BrandonB - if you want me to buy this, please don't say you are "looking for cheaper parts" in your other post, please use the term "more cost efficient," it makes me feel that the VAFC you received will be superior to the "crap" you will pawn onto us. Not knowing much about this stuff I want to make sure if I did this it wouldn't fall apart on me in the first few months. Looks good to me as-is, keep up the good work!

Wow dude I see what you are talking about in the area between 8000-9000. Huge gain. I mean 8250-9000 is really the butter zone now...From 8250 to 9000 before the VAFC your HP dropped ~28hp. Now between 8250-9000 it not only has a 10hp drop but there is a 10hp and a 15tq increase at 8250 that it hold's the rest the way...very nice!
