People become dependent of their radars but they don't work each and every time. If you want laser protection, nothing is better then the Blinder. I had it and it saved me a few times...
I had my V1 confiscated (twice!) here in Ontario by the OPP. I have since switched to a Bel STi and have not been detected.
However, I parked the radar detector and am now just more aware. Zero tickets since then. 3 tickets while using radar detectors.

Having detector is one thing, knowing how to use it is another. You get much over 90 mph then your probably going to get a ticket. You need
reaction time, and make sure there is always a car ahead of you to pick
up the burst first. KA instant on is hard to beat, but it can be done if you drive smart.
