we have all been here one time or another..
I have to give this kid credit for having the balls to post.
The reason you are not seeing the types of responses you were hoping for probablt has a lot to do with the fact that most of us can't relate to what's bothering you.
I'd say we're lucky to be driving a limited production car. It's rare enough and beautiful enough to get noticed.

Yeah... I can relate in a way.. there is one guy that lives in my town who was recently kicked out of boarding school for drug use and is the biggesst dorkest looser ever... and now he claims to be looking for an S2000 after he heard about mine... I don't mind people getting an S2000, just him... I am afraid he will give it a bad name... ex. he use to have a 328i before he TOTALED it... everytime he saw my brothers 13.8 3rd gen RX7 he was like " meet me at the strip so I can kick that japanese ass." and he is Such a looser and has no clue what he is saying... anyways.. whatever floats his boat... I am glad I was privlaged with such a wonderful car to start with... and in my mind, nothing can compete with my "babe"
Oh another funny little thing... The other day he told me he had planned 6 stages of mods, each costing $6,000... He said he called HKS, Mugen, and Comptech and got them to join and plan him some mods... hahahaha SURE....
it seems that you only wanted the car to be one of the rare owners out there and to be different. its a fun car, dont forget that and enjoy it as a car and that's it.
I can however relate to you - I graduated HS in '92 - ten years ago, I have always had two cars, even when I was in HS and it was due to some other incidents which allowed me to have two cars. at one time I had a choice of driving an '88 LX Mustang 5.0 or a '90 Talon AWD Turbo. There were other cars around, only two were faster - a modified 300ZXTT and a friend's '77 firebird with a 400 bored out that was too damn fast. But what bothered me is one kid, a sophomore in HS (when I was a senior) got a base model Talon. They were compared to each other, and everyone always wondered who would win because they were "equal cars" as everyone claimed. But that was a FWD I-4, and mine was an AWD Turboed I-4. Very big difference. Well, he knew who was faster, but it didn't matter. We both had fun with the cars. So... even if the other one looks like crap, drive your car for what you like about it, not other's impressions or what everyone else has.
I believe if you dont realize this now, you will not realize it later in life, and one day if you buy a Ferrari, you will only own that to own a Ferrari and be "prestigeous" for what you own - which really isn't the case at all. Eventually you'll notice how shallow those around you really are.
That's my take. So, yea, I can relate.

Give the kid a freakin break!
I get so pissed off when I see these kinds of posts. He is just trying to make conversation, so deal with it. Sorry if you guys can't accept the fact that he has a awesome car at 16 yrs old. My god, if I had a father like some of you on this board, I'd kill myself.....
