Weigh reduction for the stook
Everyone has their own cost/benefit ratio. Personally cutting 150# is very possible and would improve street performance without spending too much $. Running a half tank by itself should cut 35#.

I had over 200 pounds taken out and it was huge. Take off the front and rear bumper reinforcement bars for another 20 pounds. Empty the windshield washer reservoir (1 gallon is 8 lbs). Gut the trunk for 42 lbs. saved. That's 70 pounds removed for FREE! Try driving without the passenger's seat (35-40 pounds) and remove the door panels (around 6-7 lbs each) and you'll start noticing that you have an entirely different car.
Lighter wheels and coilovers saved 9 lbs per corner in unsprung weight on my car. You can get a custom single exhuast fabbed up with test pipe to lose 50 pounds. I also had a lightweight battery(-15lbs.) and J's Racing header which saved 10 lbs.
These are just a few suggestions for you guys. This stuff coupled with a set of 4.77 gears will make you walk a stock S2k like it's a joke.

Weight savings are quite expensive. You start to look into a 2K titanium exhaust to shave 30 lbs, 1.5 grand for a CF hood to shave 5lbs, 3K for Kevlar/CF seats to shave 20 or whatever. Then wheels, brake discs, flywheel, and all the other goodies. Then you need coilovers because the car looks like a 4x4 with TE37s or other lightweight wheels. The list goes on.
The thing about this is that, how much is enough? It's just hard to stop, just like any mods. The mod-bug feeds on itself
But anyway, weight savings are probably the most expensive, but most effective way of improving performance (other than improving the driver) if you use your car for a lot of track racing?
