Default Went from AP1 to AP2v2, some thoughts

I wanted an AP2v2 for the VSA and passenger airbag switch, so it took me a while to find one in Suzuka Blue to match my hardtop. Some thoughts on the switch.

1. Wow, the F22 has way better in-gear acceleration. Car feels like it can pass in sixth on the highway. Did not expect this.
2. Seats are more comfortable, the leather appears thicker and more supple, and there is more of it. Back of headrests and sides of the seats are real leather. On the flip side, the difference between the leather and vinyl parts of the seats are more obvious.
3. Lots of little improvements makes this feel like the movie version of the AP1. Real door pockets, tiny ledge in the passenger knee bolster, roll hoop speakers
4. AP2v2 wheels look very classy to my eye- they make the AP2v3 wheels look comically cheap.
5. It turns out that having outside temperature on a convertible isn't a bad thing.
6. I thought the clutch was slipping until I remembered the CDV. CDV also makes heel-toe harder.
7. The AP1 is a blue explosion, with blue dash and door panels in addition to carpet and seats. It's too much. Black dash and door panels with blue seats is much nicer.

All in all, I love the new car and plan on never selling it. It has 120K miles and still looks and feels brand new.

It's Suzuka, has to be a 2006.

Now get a Hondata and drop the VTEC to ~5100, makes the midrange so much smoother:

As a fellow F22 owner, I always smile to myself when people say the s2000 has no torque.

Hmm, didn't know you could get an S2k with a passenger airbag switch. What year did they start that? Maybe I don't have to give up an S2k when I have a kid in a couple years.

How much do you miss 9k?

I believe this began in the 2006 model year. It's not a switch that you can toggle manually. It uses a weight sensor in the passenger seat to determine whether or not to deploy the passenger airbag when the seat belt is latched. I'm not sure the exact weight threshold before it arms the airbag. I've buckled some heavy stuff on my passenger seat (track day gear) and the passenger airbag light was still on (meaning it wouldn't deploy in the event of a collision).
