Thumbs up What Are The Differences Between Each Year?

Hi,

I tried to search for it but I couldn't come up with anything. I'm thinking about buying a 00 S2000 and was wondering what key differences were between the years.

Thanks!

2000 has plastic rear window
carpet on center console
older design oil jet bolts
older ECU software
more "raw" suspension
no tweeters
no clock
no chrome rings in tail lights

the 02s felt to me like they were a little more "rubbery" if you can say that. not THAT bad but i felt more comfortable with the 01. i had back aches up the wazoo when i went on a ride in the 02 and 03s, but the 01s were very comfortable. i don't know, i suppose it is just personal preference.

Passions,

There were some significant changes starting with the '02 model. And, of course, the '04 model had even more significant changes.

If you have service records and oil change information, that's pretty important. You should be able to take the car for a nice drive and get an idea of what shape it's in. You really shouldn't hear any creaks or rattles with the top down... With top up, you'll get squeaks and rattles.

Good luck.
