What does your S2000 represent to you?
hmmm.. anyways, after 4-5 yrs of ownership, I still can't believe I own my s2k. i know the car is affordable and by no means an "exotic," but the sheer pleasure of driving it is just unexplainable. i've driven many cars, some of them being exotics, and truth be told, i'd pick the S over any of them.
i've been wanting one for maybe over 2 years now and i can't explain everything in words. initially it has EVERYTHING i want, sports car image, 2 seats, rarity, manual only (unlike 350z), rwd, convertible, reliability, and most importantly amazing driving experience.
there's no other car out there that makes me feel the same way...when i was walking towards a parked s2k near my car i had butterflies in my stomach. i could just imagine myself opening the door to one and driving away. sooner or later i will buy one...

Newbie here, got my car 2 weeks ago.. anyways..
For me, its my rolling back the clock car. While I'm certainly not old by any stretch, 29. I have a family, two kids, home and a beautiful wife. I'm lucky to be in the position I am financially to afford a home, family car (MDX), and buy a little roadster, and although I have a 2000 with over 100K miles, the car still handles amazingly well and puts a gigantic grin on my face.
I've always liked roadsters and the s2000 was a car I always admired from a far. In my younger days, I was diehard BMW M car guy. I had an E46 M3 and E39 M5 that did several of HPDE's with. While both cars are certainly faster than the S2000, I feel that the S2000 is so much more fun even though it is slower. Just the rawness of it. I don't want to but coddled, my MDX can do that.
So the poster, with Mpower in his name, while I can certainly afford the new BMW M models, they're just too much money to fix when something goes wrong -- and having to deal with the stupid dealership was even worse. I love the S2000 for its simplicity, low maintenence, extremely high fun factor and top down features. And for me, this car has been a dream
Plus mods like superchargers/turbos are like 1/3 maybe even 1/4 of that of the BMW community. What is there to not love about this car??
