my first s2000 experence was with a rental in vegas, just wantted a convertible, wasn't taking a mustang, so the s was my only other choice. Fell in love with the car and the fun in just hours. came home from vacation, and started my search, about a month later had one. to me it means, friendship, stress relief, hobby, and individuality. my car helps me stand out from every other car out there. spa s2k ftw!!!

My S2000 was my early 40th birthday present. Even though I have a successful career, wife, kid, house, etc., and other things that go along with having been mature and staying in school.....I am really only 17 at heart and the S2000 keeps me there.

Of course, the responsible side of me later decided on a sporty car that I could put a booster seat in safely, thus my V.

I'm simply humbled and lucky that I am able to afford such great cars.

I was at the auto show when they debuted it, told myself then and there "One day I'll own one of these, I love it" - The day i first drove one - I knew i really did. Like someone mentioned before - it's sort of a dream come true. And an affordable one t that.

It's my ME time, I've had a passion for cars and driving since my kick-ass Hot Wheels collection.

Maybe it's a bit conceited, but I do love the attention it gets.

It's my favorie toy.

Almost all of my friends and family put it down, yet I don't stop loving it - that HAS to say something. (I just laugh and say "if you only knew").

To me, it's not just ac ar - it's my hobby.

And lastlyh, owning the S makes me feel like part of an exclusive club of peoiple who REALLY know what it's all about. Sure there are faster, more powerful, better handling cars out there - but this thing has a soul and, when you're out driving a little 'spiritedly', forces a smile on your face. I"ve always felt connested to it as if it's readin my next thouhgt/move. But maybe it's just me .....

It seems like the best kept secret. Very few people know what it really is. To most the s2000 is either, slow, overpriced, cute, etc. but most owners wouldn't trade their "slow" S2000 for much faster cars. It's the most fun you can have for the money. After a long day at work you can either just cruise with the top down and enjoy the weather or you can drive it like you stole it without having to worry about the car breaking down. It's my affordable dream car. If I won the lottery tomorrow, the S2000 would stay and I would just add a DBS to the collection. I will never sell this car. I still have just as much fun driving it as the day I got it. I've been test driving cars looking for a new daily driver to replace the winter beater and I seem to change my mind about which car I want every week. None of them have that intangible quality that the S2000 does. With the S2000 there was no second choice, I knew I had to have it after the first drive.

Its my coming of age car. My wife says its my mid-life crisis car but since im 30 i disagree. Its being able to break away from the 8 passenger people hauler pilot she has and lose reality for a time. Its being able to realize that for as long and hard as i have worked to take care of my wife and kids this car takes care of me.

The S2000 is the first sports car I have owned, and I dreamed of owning one from about 2000 until I purchased mine in 2005.

It's perfect for me. I am a driving enthusiast, and the S2000 obviously was engineered and designed for people like me.

If I were to use words to describe the car, I would use: speed, precision, beauty.

Sure, the car is not the fastest thing on the road. But the car is so well-rounded and balanced between performance and appearance. My passion for driving, and driving fast, is met every time I push the start button.

You can't help but fall in love with the car after merely one short drive.

There will come a time in the near future when I will add a 911 to the stable, but I can firmly say that my S2000 WILL NOT be going anywhere. Though I long to own the icon that Porsche produces, the S2000 is a legend in it's own right. Having those two machines in the garage will really make a driving enthusiast such as myself quite content.

I my S2000.

For me, it represents one of the only times in my life I've done something really frivolous for the pleasure of it. I usually delay gratification indefinitely for things that don't represent true "needs." In other words, I'm a super cheap bastard. Just this once, I bought myself a treat. When I drive it, it's pure indulgence. It doesn't fill a "need," just provides pleasure.
