real name (not S2000) and Acura branded
more torque

I second all of this...but if I had to choose 1 or 2 of the items on this list...
they would be...
1. top w/auto boot...
2. Acura branded...
just MO...
What really makes me mad is the second gear synchronizer. It's so frikin' touchy! If I'm really running the car hard and my shift hand is a split second faster than my clutch foot...I get a grind...AARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!! This does not happen when I'm really concentrating on making the gear change perfect, but I hate concentrating! DAMNIT! Truth is, it's not me...its the tranny. If it were me, then I'd have experienced the grind in other gears as well, but I have not, its just during the first to second or third to second shift. Other than that, and the affore mentioned small bits, I'm stoked.

Acura-branded? The only people I have heard say they wish it was Acura-branded are those who care more about nameplates than they do about cars, or don't know enough about Honda to be quietly confident in the rich legacy of racing and engineering behind the badge on their car.
"Acura" only exists as a marketing kludge. It only exists because the meat-and-potatoes red-blooded American market couldn't swallow the idea of an expensive Honda. Saying you wish it was Acura-branded admits to the same short-sightedness. Give me a break. Did you buy your S2000 for the conspicuous-consumption factor?
The only people I know who think/say "but, its just a Honda" are the same people who have not followed the automobile industry for very long to know better than to say that.
I am very glad, and very proud that Honda didn't play that stupid game with this car. If you have a problem with it being a HONDA I honestly think you should go find yourself another car.
To the rest of the world, who are far less materialistic, the Honda name was just fine.
If (when?
) I buy an NSX in North America, one of the first and only tasks will be to replace the marketing-kludge 'Acura' badge and proudly replace it with the Honda emblem.-- rant ends here --

SilverFog,
Agreed 100%. I am glad that his car is not Acura branded. When I first came to USA, I was dissapointed that I did not see any Honda NSX but instead Acura NSX. Boogghhhkkk!!!
For the record, I do not like Lexus, Infinity or Acura which are just marketing divisions.

Agreed. Proud to be driving a Honda. Honda is to blame, however, for appearing to cheapen the namesake by creating another division and putting the faster/sports cars in it (the stook being the exception).˙
