This morning on my way to work I finally found my way out of the traffic. I saw an empty straightaway and was in first gear and shifted smoothly into second gear. By this point I have decided to rev out 2nd gear and zip right to the office. I shift from first to second and end up at 3 thousand rpms' and start to accelerate from there. At around 5500 rpms i begin to brace myself to hear my AEM scream and the car bogs....check engine light flashes...loses speed and then the light goes off. At this point I shift into third and and baby the car and decide to hit it from third to see if it would happen again. The car was fine and has roared since. Has this happened to anyone or anyone might know what happened to my baby???Thanks in advance for the replys. I have an 02' S2k with 3200 miles. I have done my first oi,l change and check the level frequently. Thanks again.

 

was your engine warm or cold?

With any luck this may have just been bad fuel. If thats the case you might want to add some injector cleaner.

 

Sounds like a MAP sensor hiccup. Same thing happened to me except it happened when I stopped after hitting VTEC.

 

It's happened to me a few times from using bad gas.
