I bought an 81 280zx when I was 13 played around with it. Was fixing it up, put a header on it. I later bought several parts cars including an 83 turbo car. Then I wanted something a little more practical and bought a 94 Civic 5-speed coupe. Tracked the car a good bit, autocrossed and drag raced some. Later bought a Jeep Cherokee to have as a play toy while I still had the Civic. I had done fairly extensive suspension work on the civic and it was very stiff and harsh to ride in so I ended up selling it and the Jeep for more than they were worth and bought a Toyota Avalon. That quickly bored me so I picked up an 83 280zx for 2500 and tracked it for a while. At one point I had 6 280zx's (including parts cars) and the Avalon. I sold off all the Z cars and kept the Avalon a while longer. I couldn't stand not having a fun car any more so this summer I started looking for an S. I had driven several other cars that had similar power to weight within my price range and fell in love with the S. It has definately secured its place as permanent. I haven't gotten a change to take it autocrossing yet but look foreward to Robling Road in the near future.
mmmm well i've always loved RWD, have a old school Corolla DX that i use to drift, and i have a 4wd evo that i rally... have my ridgeline for a daily driver, and a classic jaguar E type
i've always loved a RWD as the weekend car, i've owned 2 turbo mr2s
as the weekend roadster, but then... i kinda wanted something a bit newer, the mr-s sucks.... dont like the convertable 350z i tihnk they look odd.
i've always loved the s2ks, so decided to complete my lil garage

Have owned a MR2 turbo since 99 as a summerdriver and also a trackday toy the last couple of years.
Sold it this summer just wanted to try somthing different.
Read a lot off info in the S2K and loved the tests, engine ect.
I really wantet a softtop, that was still handling great, since I wantet to use it only in the summer, but also on trackdays.
There are almost no S2K in denmark (about 10 S2K - 5 mill people)
Therefore is a really speciel car, that u never see.
Because off the insane car tax system i Denmark, a new S2K i 1999 was about 132.000 US dollers.
YES ITS TRUE !!!!
Bouth the S2K in Germany. Drove 1400 km to pick it up, whitout ever having tried a S2K before and only seen it on pictures.
First impressions was = Sounds GREAT but goes slow. (was use to a turbo boostet MR2)
After driving it full power in a corner i absolutely LOVED IT.
After first trackday i was in love and i still is !
The cars is not driving now due to winter time, but i dream off spring every night... !

MLK day 2001, I test drove my first S2000 and bought it on the spot. What made this so significant is that, up to that point, I was a dedicated Ford (SVT) fan and never had owned a Honda or any Japanese car for that matter.
Sold the AP1 in July 2002, because it was a garage queen and I had home improvements to do, and because I found a buyer that was willing to pay top dollar for it. The bubble on values burst about 2 months later, so it was well timed.
However, by September 2002 I couldn't take it anymore (being w/out a play car) and bought a new 2003 SVT Cobra Mustang (as mentioned, I was a big SVT fan). After 14 months, I was fed up with poor quality and Ford customer service, selling it at a notable loss (damn domestic depreciation!).
Less than a month after selling the Fix Or Repair Daily vehicle, I bought my second S2000 (an AP2). Everything I like about the first S2000 was there, yet it felt more "mature." I loved that car... the way it drove, the way it looked, the fun factor, and the reliability (never did I get concerned about driving to a track event and not getting home in the same car).
Alas, I traded the AP2 in Oct 2006 to get my dream car (a Porsche). No regrets, but I do miss the S and would love to have one again in the future.
Maybe a CR?
Long live the S!
