^thats true. but this I probably had the most anti-honda outlook on life...

This car is pretty much the only honda I would've bought...and now that I did, I respect Hondas that much more.

I love reading this thread! Nice to know that the S seems to be a real drivers car - picked over a lot of powerful, expensive cars...

I'm not really anti-Honda, but for the most part, Honda just doesn't build cars that I find interesting. The S-roadsters (all of them) and the NSX are the only Honda's that really float my boat.

FWIW, you will never find anyone who loves their S2000 any more than I love my little AP1. I generally don't buy any car unless it sparks some passion, and over the years I've owned way too many cars, all of which I greatly enjoyed, but the S2000 doesn't take a back seat to any of them. It's a unique combination of compromises that suits me perfectly; Especially with a few relatively simple mods.
That's exactly how I feel. The only other honda that excites me is the NSX - the rest are.. meh. I think the FWD doesn't help.

What mods would you recommend to the S2k? I only buy a car if it invokes some sort of emotinoal response/passion in me, and I cringe at having to drive a camry/accord/etc, something without the soul and character of a purpose-built sports car, hehe.

Had a Scion tc and i love that car. if i could have turbo'd it legally, i would have kept it. but nothing is carb legal for that car except a supercharger that only gains 40hp

and my best friends all have faster cars such as a mustang gt, 328i bmw, sti's, 5gen turbo prelude.

so i figured id get a s2k and eventually go FI legally, kinda

My first car was a 03 Civic SI. Sold that egg and opted for convertible rwd. At first I wanted a 95-ish Miata but couldn't find a decent one. I don't know why but I never really looked into purchasing a s2000 but my brother (last owner) one day just asked me If I wanted to take it off his hands. Since I didn't have anything to drive at the moment. I thought "sure, why not? couldnt hurt." since I drove it before and never really had any complaints. So I gave him X,XXX and he handed over the keys. DONE DA DA!
