I don't think I'd part with my S2K since I got it when it first came out. My S2K actually has some differences to other people's S2K, probably because it was one of the first ones out. Clive noticed a few things on my S2K that were different than on his.

Blackie,

I guess you won't be getting an S2.

RxS2K,

The Civic has got to go. Time for a suv or station wagon.

For me, I would seriously consider getting the new Lotus Elise to replace my S2.

i've heard of some excellent race drivers without the use of their legs. i'd rather relearn to drive than totally give up.

Time! About 2.5-3 years is about as long any previous car has lasted. (I get bored with 'em) The S might be different though.

After 5 or 6 years it will be time to gut it and go purpose built with a tube frame, slicks, and all the power I can pay cash for.

1Y2KS2K, although I don't "yet" own a stook I think that maybe you 'overshot' the mark with -

I don't see any other car out there that I would want in preference to my S2K - and that includes the NSX, BMWs, or Porsches. I just love this car. It gives me way too much fun and satisfaction! I always feel kind of depressed when I read posts from people who are turning their cars in for something "better". To me, that usually reads "pricier" or "with a better heritage".
I understand the depresion but I think your statment undeservedly 'lumps' the NSX with over priced German cars. Porsches and BMW's are both excellently built cars but the 'premium' of the NSX over the S2000 is well acounted for - aluminium chassis, VTEC development costs - though post '97 NSX have apreciated a little more than is reasonable.

Sorry for the long post.
