Default what is your idle?

i was just wondering how are your cars doing while you are waiting in a stop light. well, mine goes nine and then ten. it never stand still. after i drove it for 20 miles or more.
can anyone share how their engine rest on a stop light after you use it for some miles?

Depending on conditions it usually is between 700-1000.

Yeah, if the AC is on, idle is faster.
Mine never idled at a constant speed though, it would usually go up or down by a bar on the rev counter....
Though I must say, it was always under 1000......

Same here -> 700-1000, never constant... even seem a bit low sometime.

i never turn on my a/c. all i have to do is put the top down and i get fresh air.


isn't that kind of odd. the rpm when idling fluctuates. i've never seen some cars that is brand new that the rpm idle go up and down.
