i usually get the occasional evo that tortures his BOV while he sits on my ass. in these cases i love to stop at yellow lights.
I'm not a fan of racing after owning my S for 3 months, but it tends to put a little fear into these idiots that I can stop at the drop of a hat! I still can't believe how quick Stewie can stop in extreme conditions. One has to love this kind of agility, in the twisties and on the freeway. It saved me from being totaled twice today!

05S2K - I hear you loud and clear. Just try and stay chilled as you did. I get the same thing. In my experience, it's particularly bad with some BMW clown who is certainly not the ultimate driver. It's not the Z3/4 owners either. It's the the 3 and 7 series guys. They tailgate, try and out handle you, jump in fron with no signal, or won't let you change lanes. I think it's S2k envy.

Funny thing is I've never been challenged by any other roadster driver. SLK's, 350Z's, BMW Z3 and Z4's, Porsche Boxster, Vette owners all seem to show a mutual respect. You would figure these would be the guys who would want to race you the most but that's not the case. Most of the time it's just a mutual head nod or wave.

Yes I was in the left lane when the Mazda 3 came up from behind. I was already moving pretty quickly and I wasn't going any faster. He had plenty of room to make a pass but chose not to. His whole intention was to street race which I was having no part of.
Well, I have to say that even if the guy was going faster and you both were in the fast lane, you SHOULD have pulled over and let him be the asshole.

Its been M3's lately with me. i havent raced any, but I love how they sit and wait for you to get right up next to them and then floor it...no signal no nothing. The frst M3 that wanted to run sounded NASTY...like demon spawn...i'm SURE he was stock!

Warren, where exactly do you have a trailer hitch bolted
Bluegas, I have the Chase Race hitch - www.chaserace.com. It's bolted to the rear suspension subframe and the rear bumper mounts.

Your post reminds me of another incident, this time w/ a 3 series BMW. A few years ago, shortly after a quick rain one night (with the road still wet), this jackass in what I think was a E36 came up to me, even w/ my passenger door then floors it.

His back end fishtailed, spun and he hit the right side curb, totally busting up one of the rear wheels along with the suspension. I saw parts flying out of the rear side. I just had to stop, point at him laugh, then I left, knowing he felt like a total dumbass. He had to have it towed, there was no way he could have drove it after that. Bet that cost a pretty penny to fix, I'd say roughly $2-3k. That one was just too funny.

Wow same deal here, but a simple smile at a person attempting to do something stupid usually really burns them up because you are not feeding into their idiot mentailty. Best ever encounter i ever had was goin south I75 to naples and some looser was kinda riding my ass for abit, and yes i was in the far right lane, so then i signal to get into the left lane to pick up the pace and he flys next to me, so i stay in my place and not too much longer hes about 3-4 cars back on the left lane behind me so i signal to come over and he floors it but heres where it gets good! He was soo wrapped up in giving me some gay look like he was takin it and then gave me a double bird and rear ended the hell outta the car infront of him!!1 I couldnt help it, i pulled over with them both, guy locks his doors and refuses to come out till police arrive, but i yelled at him, :At least you showed me, i didnt get over big man!" then when the cops asked what happened, he was in big trouble got soem malacious intent, wreckless driving and afew other i could hear the cop listing off. I just love it when morons like that get whats comming to them. Now waht i really wanna see is in the news of people getting shot for stealing S200s

I had another situation today. I was sitting at a light, in my minivan, an unassuming Toyota Sienna. I leave the light like any normal person I'm planing to turn to the right so I can get on the interstate and this dipshit in a Mini Cooper thinks he's gonna be Fernando Alonso and speeds waaaaaay up to keep me from getting into the lane. He's no kid or 20something, he's about late 40's to early 50's.

So this pisses me off since I'm not even in my S and not trying to prove anything, I speed up and then of course he speeds up. I speed up more and get infront of him. Then I slow down to about 30mph til the on ramp opens into 2 lanes just to prove to this asshole that I'm not gonna to put up with his bullshit.

I guess he wasn't expecting that a guy driving a 5600 pound minivan would beat him to the interstate. On top of that, I had about 200 pounds of equipment in the van too.

Damn, it's a good fkucin' thing they have gun control laws in this country.

[QUOTE=05S2K,Sep 25 2006, 07:25 PM]So I get done work today and it's beautiful night. The sky is clear and it's nice and cool out. I start on my drive home and the car is running strong, felt stronger than normal which is probably due to the cool air. With the car running this good I just had to exercise it a little. So I'm cruising along at a decent clip and I see in front of me an old Cuda. He's going just a tad slower than me so I pull in the right lane to go around him. Well this guy waits till I get right next to him and decides to drop the hammer. He goes flying past me and I'm like WTF!!! I wasn't going that fast and I didn't do any thing that would have made him think I wanted a race. I just shrug it off and continue on my merry little cruise. About a mile down the road some idiot in a Mazda 3 comes flying up on my rear and starts flashing his lights. I'm like what does this freak want, if you want to pass go around then. I'm already moving at a pretty good clip and have no intention of going any faster. He continues to ride my tail for about another half mile, all the while flashing his lights now and then, and then pulls along side of me and signals he wants to run. This dude is either insane or just plain stupid. I kindly decline and he takes off like a bat out of hell. Guess he's going to go home and tell all his buddies how he smoked a S2000. Glad I could make his day.
