My township's recycling center is in the same spot as the muni garage. We are allowed to bring our used oil and dump it into the townships holding tank. When the tank is full, they give it to a recycler. They also take the used filters, old tires and old batteries.

This is a real convenience as most of the service stations in our area, who are supposed to accept used oil, act as if they are doing you a favor. We have three cars, a lawn tractor and a mower so we save up the oil in a resealable container and bring a lot each time.
