i drove in the winter, only when the roads are dry. i dont mind the salt on the roads. as long as the salt is dry, it won't cause any corrosion or anything like that.

I drove this whole winter with stock tires, I know that is bad, but there were only 3 times where I just couldn't drive at all. Just because it is a sports car doesn't mean you have to drive like a sports car...

One time I got caught when heavy snow was starting to fall and thank God for a big 1st gear, I couldn't get it out of 1st without fish tailing!

Mine's a daily driver... which means all through the winter (although here in VA that isn't so bad). I don't, however, drive it when there's snow on the ground.

Summer tires + snow = quick death.

If there's snow on the ground, the WRX is the ticket

Mine's a daily driver with the stock tires. Drove it all winter in the cold and rain and, on occasion, snow. No disaster, death or mayhem to report.
