Who has changed the light diffusers themselves?

Paper burns at 451 degrees. If you've got your oven up that high, you've got bigger problems with the headlight than a contained fire.
. Only reason I'd offered the comment was that I know I've lit many a cigarette on a stove burner...not even a red-hot element. So when I see the lower stove element go red-hot as it activates to maintain oven temp...I'd assume that if paper came in contact...it could potentially ignite. Again, it was only a suggestion/comment. Sorry if I was in error...

Nono, I'm not trying to be an ass or arrogant. I actually thought like you did when I had my issues with humidity trying to get my lights back together. When posting on here, someone else mentioned the 451 deg part, thanks go to Ray Bradbury. The oven temp you cook your lights at is actually pretty low, I would find it difficult to believe that even the metal racks get hot enough to begin a fire, but don't let your paper touch the actual coil. I did have some blackening of the paper, but nothing unexpected or worrysome.
But, just so everyone knows, the method with paper worked great for me. I would recommend it without issue, BUT, you do any such mods at your own risk, I assume no responsibility, and always have an adult present.
