Actually, that's what I've been looking for...

Instead of a shift lamp...(which kinda takes away from the whole idea of keeping your eyes on the road in the first place)...I've wanted something that will beep when I'm close to redline.

Anyone know if there are other similar type products out there?

It would take all night to break this down. Think of Hz as the RPMs of the electric world. The faster your alternator spins the more Hz it puts out. It just reads the Hz and then you adjust what RPM (Hz) you want the light to come on at using the reostat (sp?) on the control module. I don't know why more companies don't do it like this. It also makes for an infinently adjustable shift light
