Just ignore the other people. Why's it matter what these people think of you? At the end of the day, 1) you don't do business with these people, 2) you don't require their approval of your life, and 3) you have an S2000 to drive around in.

Well, if people say something rude or catty without knowing anything about your situation, it probably means they are jealous or resentful -- and on top of that, they have no manners or social skills. So there are two issues there. I wouldn't worry about it -- some people never learn how to act normal or nice. I think it's great you bought your own S2K and enjoy it -- good for you.
