I still have a grin on my face whenever I drive... The only time I'm not happy is when my ass is stuck in traffic.

Best kept secret in the automotive world.

To echo an earlier poster: SOUL is what this car has. If you love this car, it manages to love you back. It rewards you for driving well. Driving the car is such an involving experience, that the more time you spend with it, the better you get to know it. A bond is developed knowing that this is truly YOUR car.

It's a niche car. It's an enthusiasts car. It's hardcore.

In a time when 3-ton SUVs are capable of sub 5-second 0-60 times, and family sedans are boasting more than 250 HP, the S2000 was created with balance, agility, and most importantly experience in mind. Those of us behind the wheel know it's not about going faster. It's not about HP bragging. It's all about the most fun to be had on four wheels, and always taking the long way home.

I love my car. There are times (rarely) when I wish I had the _______ or I wish I could afford a _______, but the moment my middle finger presses that start button, those thoughts are so quickly left behind, lost, forgotten, and muted in that 9k song we AP1 guys love so much

I can't think of another car I'd rather tear-ass around town in, at ANY price.
".......... but the moment my middle finger presses that start button.........."
........

Now, what would Freud have to say about that? My experience driving my S2000 is definitely rather senusal, but I always press that START button with my INDEX finger. Perhaps we should start a new thread on which finger we use to start, and what feelings it arouses. Hmmmm,....

Ha!

I put that bit in about the middle finger because I am in the minority (9%), according to this recent poll

unfortantely, my fav one isnt a straight away, and its also a tight sqeeze, so if a big rig is already in front of you, they take up the entire path when they turn in.

[QUOTE=Saab9-3,Apr 25 2006, 09:51 PM]I have spent over 4 years and 100,000 miles behind the wheel of my 2 s2k's, and after totalling my '05 last week, the first thing that popped into my mind was "get another s2k!" Why is that? The s2000 is no longer considered a fast car. It is not rare. It doesn't turn heads like it did when I first got my '02. It can now be out-accelerated by family sedans and out-handled by a number of competitors. Why do I love this car so much? Have years on this site just rotted my brain and turned me into a mindless fanboi, or is there something truly special about the s2000? Am I the only person who felt a chill go down his spine every time I hit 9k, pulled off a perfect drift, or nailed the rev-match on a
