And that's why I'm getting a supercharger! Case closed!

S/C ftw! I want to buy one but I hear good comments and bad about them. Some people say they dont notice a huge difference some say the difference is huge. anyways I would have to say there would be quite the difference.
[QUOTE=RED MX5,Jul 30 2007, 09:10 PM] The current F1 eigines have 8 cylinders and only slightly more displacement, so if the stroke is cut in half, then at 19,000 RPM the piston speed would be about the same as our engines at 8.500 RPM.

6spd v6 accords are about as fast.
Which Accords turn 14 flat or better off the showroom floor? That IS what a stock S2000 can turn. People who don't realize how fast the S2000 actually is generally don't have a clue how to drive the car, or have never driven one. They also usually seem to think that torque produces acceleration, which of course is just ignorant. This car is quicker in the quarter mile than most of the muscle cars of the 60's, so comparing it to an Accord strikes me as more than a little misguided.
Am I wrong? Do bone stock Accords actually break into the 13's with a good driver?

Dont sweat the shit talkers, in reality it doesnt matter what kind of car you own, someone will always have criticisms of it. As RED MX5 said, this is a specialty car. Some guys feel better knwoing they can rely on AWD and boost to be quick, but this car in its rawest form is meant to be driven on the track by passionate and talented people. Stock vs Stock On most circuits the S2000 is as quick if not a little faster than cars with more power and grip. Take it out on a road course sometime and you will see why alot of us own the S2000.
