There's been lots of discussions about the air filter for the engine, but I couldn't find any discussion on the interior air filtration system. The "Micron Air-Filtration System" is touted as one of the interior features of the S2000, but with the top down most of the time, I am getting all the un-filtered air in my face. So what good is this micron air-filtration system? Is there any practical benefits for a convertable to have such a fine air filter? Am I missing someting?

By the way, does this interior filter need cleaning/replacement once in a while?

I guess the only benefits to this system are with the top up. You have a valid point....being top down with most of your driving, there wouldn't be much benefit. The owner's manual suggests that the filter be replaced every 30,000 miles under normal conditions. (or every 15K in urban areas with high concentrations of soot in the air)
