I had the resonator removed on my old 03. I went back to the shop a few days later cause I didn't like it. I really think it was due to their crappy welds. It rang a lot and actually sounded awful.

I really want the exhaust off the CR. It is a little bit deeper and louder, not a whole lot, but it's noticeable.

Stands for "fuel injection performance kit".

yeh, but you don't do the smog test (which I understood as the tail-pipe test) on a car equipped with OBD II.

Of course you have to do emissions test.
They sure stuck a sniffer in my '02 Accord's tail pipe.

My car had the OEM mufflers cut out and replaced with Magnaflows. Since I bought the car this way hard to say how much different it sounds but at the last dyno day I was at it wasnt much. The tone is more aggresive down low but at cruising speeds its not too loud at all. And yes the OEM AP2 tips were welded back on so its not even a bit noticeable visually.

This is pretty much exactly what I had done, with similar results. My main goals were to take some weight off the car, add a shade of sound to it (it's a little too quiet with a helmet on otherwise), and retain a factory appearance.

I had Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers welded on where the factory cans are.

The sound is very very close to OEM. To drive the car before and after you can tell it's different, but really, it's not loud at all and doesn't draw attention like a lot of cat back systems seem to. There is none of the dreaded highway drone either.

Performance of the car feels completely unchanged to me.
