8-10 hours for a clutch?!.. No way.
I'm sure some shops can do it with much less time. The question is, would you rather have it properly done? Or would you like to have a clutch that had a half-@$$ install that something beomes loose after a year?

EDIT: I don't think it should take 12 hours to do it, nor do I think it takes less than 6 or 7 hours to do it.

Then maybe you should look for a shop who does it in 18-24 hrs LOL!
4 hours is about what it takes for a clutch install. If a tech takes longer you don't want that tech to touch your car since he has never touch a S2000 before and will screw other thing up in your car.

Are we talking about an S2000 here? Considering the amount of stuff that must be disconnected and re-connected, 4 hours seems to be a bit rushed. In the same token as you don't want someone to take a very long time to do it, I would be suspicious of anyone who does it too fast. There's just too many things to forget about re-attaching.
Oh and don't forget to include the time it's going to take you for a wheel alignment afterwards.

This is reminiscent of the kid who thinks he can do a complete gear swap on this car in a matter of an hour or two.
