I once took a corner too hot and I had VSA on. Guess what happened? I spun out. It doesn't always save my ass.

It won't save you from spin outs, your driving is going to save you.

Funny thing is Honda really does know just how well VSA works and even when it doesn't and probably suprises in between.
These will never be published for legal reasons. How would a company ever defend itself if customers claimed they followed instructions exactly and wound up hurt anyway.
Perhaps an independent testing company will someday do a comparison VSAon/off and at least give us an impression.

wow, everyone riding on the same donkey, arent they?

obviously, throwing a car into a corner at 100mph and no electronic aid will rescue it. WE GET IT, DOCTOR

the situation posed was straight-line overacceleration in the wet... in , which case , vsa (and many other similar systems) is perfectly applicable by cutting power away from the throttle. so the answer is YES

just know your limit and use common sense. if its raining outside or the weather blows, dont drive like a jackass. vsa will only help so much, your driving will have more of an effect then vsa will in any situation.

I wasn't actually going all that fast
It's not how fast you are going. It's mostly a combination of how smooth your inputs are and whether you know how to balance the car properly.

I highly recommend taking a performance driving school. The S2000 is one of the least-forgiving street cars around, even in a stock setup. And driving schools are fun, anyway.

Does it strike anyone else as humorous that it is mostly Americans (myself included) who are giving advice to a European driver about cornering?

We enjoy NASCAR and drag racing. They have F1 and Nurburgring.

Jeremy Clarkson would be ashamed to see this.
