Default Wing?

does anybody know how to put a wing on an S2000. I bought a V-Racing aluminum with carbon fiber ends and its 17 inches between the mounts. The trunk has those crossmembers that block evey 17 option of mounting the wing. Does anybody have a solution to this??

thanks

why not just go through/into the crossmembers? arguably
a better mount into them anyway.

I mounted my own also and I had to contend with the cross members. The wing's stud length did not permit me to go right through the thickness of the cross member. (Even if it did, you might crush the member when you cinched the nut down.) After I drilled out the holes on the trunk lid (remember to put masking tape on the trunk lid where the wing studs touch and measure 3 times, drill once. A mistake will be fatal), take the same drill bit and continue to drill perpendicular to the trunk lid surface, into the cross member. Then open up the trunk, use a larger drill bit that will make a large enough hole in ONLY the cross member for your socket to pass through (using the smaller hole as a guide). Once you place the wing onto the trunk lid and the studs come through the inside of the trunk, put the nut inside the socket, reach through the cross member hole and thread it onto the wing stud. You may have to cross your eyes and stick your tongue out to get this done but be patient, you'll get it. If they are not lock nuts, use a lock washer and some thread lok so they won't vibrate loose over time. When you're done, put a little touch up paint on the exposed cross member holes.
