In fact, I would have bought a boxster (instead of the S2K) if it had glass. I love the way it looks more than the S2K.
You mean to tell me that the only factor for not getting a Boxter was the plastic rear window?????? I suppose you wouldn't want a Ferrari convertible because it has a plastic rear window.

This topic seems to be a popular one.. rightfully so..
I would and did NOT get a MY2002 Boxster over the S2000.. And the price diff. between the S2000 and Boxster S was just silly to contemplate for more than a few minutes.. If Porsche made the S2000, believe you me, they'd be charging $60K for it!
For $32.8 nothing comes close.. Actually for 42.8 nothing comes close.. Nothing comes close until you hit the Boxster S at the price of $55-65k... YIKES!

Love my S2000!

At the risk of repeating others comments, I would:

Take the more expensive Boxster and sell/trade for another S2K.

The Boxster S is a great car but my main two reasons for selling it (if someone would trade me) are:

1. It is expensive to keep and maintain and doesn't really have much better specs than the S2000.

2. I hate the interior - the carpets, colors, clutter, and un-S2000 look turns me off. Others may love it, this is just my opinion.

Now if I was forced to keep the Boxster S, I would enjoy the greater storage space, nice convertible top cover/mechanism, better speaker locations, and Brembo red brake calipers!
