The TPMS system in the 08/09s is a pain if you're modifying the car. I actually plan on removing the bulb in mine, because I have no plans on getting new sensors and programming them.

I bought an 08 strictly for the red interior.

TPMS sensors systems are more trouble then they are worth.

Now some Audis and BMWs use ABS systems to check for a deflating tire, without the need to install individual sensors in each of the wheels.
GM was doing this in 1998. Pretty sure the regs require "direct" TPMS, which requires a pressure sensor in the wheel/tire, so the "indirect" method might disappear or only be used as a backup.
The 2013 Accord no longer has TPMS inside the tire.

04-05 are the best. All the upgrades prior to DBW.

With the torque of the AP2, driving an AP1 will feel like the gas pedal is broken.
Actually many consider the 04 - 05 the worst year to own.

Only those who don't know better think that .

Aside from 00-01, I think 04-05 is the worst.

- No 9k

AND

- No FlashPro

Stock AP2 powerband is abysmally narrow. You have to up the redline and/drop the engagement point via tuning to avoid dropping out of vtec on the 1-2 shift with anything short of a powershift.
Yet 04-05s are faster than all AP1s - go figure.

Not really, they're both ~14-second at ~100mph. Quick search yielded:
http://media.caranddriver.com/files/...st-results.pdf
http://media.caranddriver.com/files/...eme-sports.pdf

14.1 @ 99 for the '03, 14.0 @ 100 for the '04, well within margin of repeatability.

National autoX results never showed an AP2 advantage, either, up until the CR.

'02-'03 were my favorite years

'06-'07 would be my second choice (flashpro, no tpms)

dont most of the auroXers modify their suspension and wheels/tires? i would think that would really even out the results between the cars.

and i was going to mention the Best Motoring where they compare AP1 vs AP2. what a great video too.

The best one is the one you make. Choose what you want engine and suspension -wise, then add whatever you like from all the years.
For me, ideally:
Ap1 F20C2 engine, CR suspension, glass window soft top, AP2 bumpers, AP1 haedlights and tailights. I have to get the glass soft top and cr suspension and I'm done
