I'm pretty sure Atom's run for sub $50k (Chevy powered, Ecotec motor).
Here is what I've been looking at (their Web site).
If you know of a US legal Atom (300 HP version) that is for sale for $50k, how about dropping me a PM and sharing the specifics.

Fine then, I guess that model changes and major improvements aren't important to you guys.

I mean, look at the 1983 911. It was a great car. Too bad Porsche went and messed it up with the current one. I'd take a 1983 911 over the current one anyday. The 911 is no longer the car it was once ment to be. Anyone who is a true 911 lover would never get a 2007 911. It's all soft and has navigation and cushy leather seats. They also gave it power seats and windows and a power convertible top! Who's ever heard of such a thing in a sports car!

That's correct. My car doesn't have 2.2 liters. It doesn't have VSA. It doesn't have DBW. It doesn't have 17-inch wheels. It doesn't have speakers in the roll hoops. It doesn't have LED taillights.

And those are all model changes that did happen.

If they came out with an uprated HP S2000, my car wouldn't have that extra HP either.

See the point?

I like the fact that people know the s2k is slow. That just means that we're the underdog and it really surprises people when I pull on almost 100% of the cars on the road

wait, ~5.7 sec 0-60mph is SLOW? since when? what planet are we on? since when do we have to run 4.5 sec?

i'm with some of the others on here....i don't care if someone with a fricken V-12 comes up and runs a 3.9 sec off the line and smokes me. big deal. my car is plenty fast enough to accelerate when i need to through traffic, and then some. plus, it handles better than 99% of the other cars on the road.

get your facts straight. the ap2 is superior compared to the ap1 in every way. go watch battles at 10k rpm.
I would, but then I'd have to wait 2k for the AP2....

. That was the JDM AP2...they use the 2.0 in Japan.

Plus, results would be different depending on the track. On one track, the AP1 could be in a more suitable gear/rpm thru more of the track than an AP2 where they would have to upshift one more extra time, and vice versa.

We could go on and on about which one is better...but there are many variables and many pros and cons when compared against one another.
